bestfriends – the sweetest Melody

Anniversaries are not just for lovers. As great as celebrating the special anniversary of being with your loved one is, there are other important relationships in our life that should be treated the same way: our FRIENDS.

Today is our FRIENDIVERSARY! Dalawang taon na simula nung mabuo ang “POWERPUFF”. A year full of talking, hugging, crying and laughing. A lot! Mabababaw kasi kaming tao at punung-puno ng ka-cornyhan sa buhay. Without them, life is black and white.

Anyway, moving on, I cannot tell you how amazing this past year has been. Shane and Ces have been such an amazing friends. Napakadami na nating napagdaanan. Nakita ko kung paano niyo na-overcome yung mga challenges sa buhay at maging sa friendship natin.

As Jeff Yourison said,

“A true friend is one who helps you see the truth, even if it hurts. This doesn’t mean we can go around stabbing our friends with hurtful words. Rather, it means being up front with friends about important issues, raising gentle questions with tact and love, never gossiping or putting them down to others behind their backs”.

Thank you Shane and Ces for being there for me when I needed you most. Thank you for listening when I was ranting, and making me smile when I only wanted to cry. Talking to you girls always puts me in a good mood. I can’t even tell you how many times you made me smile kahit ang kokorni nyo! I’m not sure if I can count that high. AHAHAHA!

Thank you for sticking by me no matter how weird, awkward, or crazy I am, thank you for being those things with me. Thank you na kahit pumapalya ako minsan nandyan kayo to correct and make sermons on me. Sorry din sa mga times na kahit tinatadtad niyo ako ng text and call pero wala akong response, alam niyo ang reason ko at naiintindihan niyo ako. Sorry sa mga mood swing at tampo days ko.
Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord kasi kayo yung taong binigay Niya na makakaintindi sa akin lalo na pag may saltik ako, kakailanganin ko sa mga oras na lugmok na lugmok ako at kailangan ko ng matinding yakap, mapagsasabihan ko ng lahat-lahat simula sa mga embarrassing moments ko hanggang sa mga success stories ko sa buhay, makakasama ko sa paglago in His words at magiging pangalawang kapatid ko.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. But I thank God dahil hanggang ngayon kayo pa rin yung ka-date ko, kaharap sa mesa kasama ang yogurt, kaholding hands ko, kasama ko kumain every Sunday sa chowking, kakwentuhan ko tungkol sa puso, utak at tiyan. At in the near future, sama-sama pa rin tayong mamamasyal with our future Mr. Right and eventually madadagdagan na ng stroller. Hahaha!

Friends come in all sizes, large, medium and small. But there is no friendship greater than ours. Our friendship is a blessing to me. I thank God every day for His grace and mercy. More years to come for our Christ-centered friendship.

To my dearest Peachee and Lychee,

Ang hirap talaga maghanap ng totoo at tapat na kaibigan noh? Tss. Buti na lang nakilala ko ang dalawa sa pinaka-CUTE at MAGANDA na likha ng Panginoon. Salamat po Lord ‘coz I’ve got not just one but two. 🙂 I’ve met a lot of people pero kayo yung kakaiba.

(Flashback) June 2008 nung tayo ay naging magkaklase sa kolehiyo. Syempre di pa tayo mga close nun. Hahaha.

Una ko nakilala si Sarah Jane Ruiz (a.k.a Shane-Peachee). Seatmate kasi kami sa Algebra. Hingian ko siya ng papel kasi tamad ako bumili ng sakin. 😀 Iba yung circle of friends ko from 1st to 2nd year then dumating ang 3rd year. Nalagas ang BAS 3-1. Nawala yung circle of friends ko. (Nagpapasalamat ako sa Lord dahil siya yung ginamit para muli kong makilala sa ating Diyos.) Si Shane? Alam ko lang kasi sa kanya “cute siya” katulad ko. Anyway, si Shane ang pinakamalambing na nakilala ko maliban sa nanay at kapatid kong bunsong babae. Hehehe. “Girl scout” ko din siya kung ituring kasi she’s always ready sa kahit anong bagay. Siya yung taong mabilis pakisamahan, mahilig manood ng mga nakakakilig na movies (sorry sa pag-reveal ko nyan! HAHAHA! Isa lang naman yan Peachee!) at napakabait. Wala akong masabi sa character ng babaeng ito. God is now using her abilities/skills/talents to minister people and all I can say is that she is not just an ordinary friend, she’s a gift and a blessing to me!

At dahil nga po sa likas akong madaldal naging kasa-kasama na ako nila Shane at doon ko lubos na nakilala si Cecille Mazon (a.k.a Ces-Lychee). Ang babaeng tahimik at antukin! Walang makakabreak ng title niya! Pramis! Hahaha. Sakanya ako madalas magtanong kung paano i-solve yung assignments namin sa Non-parametric, Multivar at marami pang out of this world na subjects ng Statistics students. Si Ces ay isang maganda, marikit at mayumi. Pero siya yung babaeng walang arte sa katawan, super down to earth at napakamapagpatawad. At lahat na ata ng embarrassing moment nya alam ko. (HAHAHA! Totoo ba Ces?). Artistahin ‘to kaya mapalad ako na isa ako sa mga naging bestfriend niya. Never ko pa ‘tong nakikitang nagalit. Waepek yung ginagawa kong pang-iinis eh. (Hahaha! Kidding Kidding!)

As time goes by, hindi namin napapansin na super close na pala kaming tatlo lalo na when God decided na magkasama-sama na kami sa isang church. Kulang na lang magkapalit-palit ang mga mukha namin, height lang hindi kasi pantay-pantay lang. HAHAHA!

I knew from the start that there was something special about the two of you. You touched my life and wouldn’t let go. You’ve made me feel like a better person, able to take the world and to know our Lord and Savior. We were destined to become friends, and I’m grateful for whatever brought us together. (Owww! English yan tas yung susunod ganun din. Be ready! Haaaaha!)

You’re my dearest friends, the person I always turn to with my heart and soul. You’re always there for me, ready to offer an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold or a heart to feel and to be there besides you through good and bad times. You will be my light and warmth when the roads get rough.

I hope you know that I will always be there to listen you both, to make you sermons and may halong galit factor. :* I will always be there to laugh, to cry and help you in all the ways I possibly can. Through tears and smiles, laughter and heartaches (ouch! Alam nyo yan!), you’ve been a part of my life. You supported me when I was in tears and even when I’m happy. I’ve never needed anyone (parang kanta?) so much in my whole entire life as much as I need you now and our Lord.

Sorry kung minsan nagagalit ako sainyo. Hehehe. (Alam nyo naman. Hmmm!) Nobody will ever find another person more special than the two of you. Everyday it just grows stronger and stronger. You two are worth more than a real gold, you are worth more than a real diamond and you are worth more than true love. Ayiiie! I treasure your soul like no other. Thanks God You gave these TWO. ❤
